Overview:

Phantomware is a psychological horror game where the line between screen and reality begins to blur. You’re working late, testing a mysterious game for a shady client, but as glitches appear and messages grow unsettling, you start to question what’s real. The game’s eerie presence spreads beyond the screen, with the mysterious virus connecting the digital and physical worlds. Cryptic clues and strange occurrences lead you deeper into a chilling mystery, where the boundary between reality and the game starts to collapse. You soon start realizing that there might be no escape.

Chapter 0 Improvements:Expanded interactivity with new events and glitches. Improved pacing for a more seamless, intense experience. More depth and polish to elevate the overall journey.

A cool psychological horror story with a lot of moving parts, and the ui for the computer usage felt very clean. I think the monster jumpscare could use a little improvement, though I understand that the game is still in development. I had a good time playing!

I play your game (and a couple others) and leave in  depth feedback in the video below. You can also vote for your game to advance in my channels competition for best indie horror game of february at this link: http://youtube.com/post/UgkxMTAEl0KW_PqgRILZNPwiC-DtQLVtJvGT?si=cNfST7T8CMnKqWx7

I'll be 3D printing a monster or scene from the winning game to gift to the game dev- I'm currently printing the winner from january now and I'll be posting it to the channel by the end of the month!

Thank you very much for playing our game! We truly appreciate your feedback. This game was developed in just 10 days for a game jam. We loved watching your reactions and will carefully consider your feedback.

Spoiler warning Regarding the monster, it plays a crucial role in the story. Initially, it exists only within the system, but as you progress, you realize that it uses the game as a host to break into the real world and attack the player. It’s a phantom virus that needs a host device to manifest and influence reality—you first notice this while playing the mini-game. That said, we agree the jumpscare could use some polish, and we’re actively working on improving it.

We’re excited to release the finished version on Steam soon! We would love to see a 3D-printed version of our monster. If it wins, we’d be happy to send you the 3D model file of it!
